I joined Dr. Atwood's laboratory in early 2006 as a graduate student in
the Endocrinology and Reproductive Physiology Program. Upon completion
of my graduate studies I joined Dr. Atwood's laboratory as a
post-doctoral fellow. I have investigated the function of the
amyloid-beta precursor protein and its cleavage product the Abeta
protein in human embryonic stem cells (hESC) and the hormonal regulation
of hESC growth and differentiation.
In 2006, I received a Graduate Fellowship from the American Federation
for Aging Research and was selected to present an oral communication at
the Endocrinology-Reproductive Physiology Research Symposium.
